The Quantitative PCR Core Facility is situated at the Institute of Biotechnology AS CR, v.v.i. as a part of Laboratory of Gene Expression. The Quantitative PCR Core Facility provides high-throughput gene expression analyses using real-time quantitative PCR with a high-throughput instrument BioMarkTM from Fludigm. The BioMark arrays enable qPCR use for both validation and discovery studies by radically increasing sample and assay throughput. The PCR core facility has also the following major equipment available: CFX96 and CFX384 thermocyclers from Bio-Rad, StepOne Real-Time PCR System and 7500 Fast Real-Time PCR System from Applied Biosystems, LightCycler480 II from Roche and a rotor based Rotor Gene 6000 from Qiagen. Samples can be processed and assay plates assembled utilizing a robotic liquid handling workstation Eppendorf R epMotion T 5070 Workstation.
